An Old Town café that roasts its own, with most of Vietnam's coffee drinks on one menu.
Why it matters
For a visitor with one stop to make, the menu is the reason. The company’s own list has phin
coffee black and with condensed milk, bạc xỉu, egg coffee,
salt coffee and coconut coffee, drinks that come from Hanoi, Huế and
Saigon, alongside espresso, steeped coffee and cold brew.
The company says it has roasted in the Old Town since 2015. Its pages give conflicting accounts
of where the beans come from, so we do not repeat any of them.
Finding it
135 Trần Phú, in the Old Town. The company also lists branches at 89 Trần Phú and 84 Trần Cao
Vân. We could not place this branch precisely enough for a map pin; use the address. We have not
been.
What to order
Whatever you have not tried elsewhere: egg coffee and salt coffee are both on the menu.
A branch of the Cộng Cà Phê chain on Công Nữ Ngọc Hoa, at the western edge of Hội An's Old Town. The chain's menu includes coconut coffee, yogurt coffee and bạc xỉu.
The Hội An branch of XLIII Coffee, the Đà Nẵng specialty roaster, on Lý Thường Kiệt north of the Old Town. Espresso, filter and milk-based specialty coffee.
